Brown Headed Barbet

This bird is the integral part of the western ghats in India. Its song "Kutrrrr kutrrrr kutrrrrr" is one of the most melodious songs one can expect to hear in Indian jungles. Usually it is heard often than seen because of its excellent camouflage in green foliage. This particular bird was seen perching at the top of a dead tree in front of my home.
